A Message from the Executive Director

Greetings from the Bolivar Housing Authority. We are Hardeman County's only public housing authority serving the area's low and moderate-income residents with affordable public housing needs.  

Bolivar Housing Authority has been a part of the City of Bolivar for over sixty years. As Executive Director since 2003, I have been blessed with a wonderfully active, cooperative, and understanding Board of Commissioners and Coworkers. The Secretary/Tenant Selector and Maintenance staff are second to none, and we all work hard to make the living environment pleasant and peacefully enjoyable for our most important asset, our resident families.  

Located in west Tennessee and about thirty minutes south of Jackson, Tennessee and one hour east of Memphis, Bolivar is an ideal location for families that want to thrive.  

Bolivar Housing Authority is a member of several state and national public housing authority associations, including the Tennessee Association of Housing and Redevelopment Authorities (TAHRA), National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO), Southeast Regional Conference of NAHRO (SERC-NAHRO) and Public Housing Authorities Directors Association (PHADA).
